Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Subterfuge ("the Service"), operated by Cipher Cortex Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Subterfuge is an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) platform that aggregates publicly available data to provide enrichment and analysis of network indicators including IP addresses, domains, email addresses, usernames, URLs, and cryptocurrency wallet addresses. The Service provides automated enrichment, threat reputation scoring, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts at our sole discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the Service to facilitate, plan, or execute any illegal activity
• Use the Service to stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any individual
• Conduct searches for the purpose of doxing or publicly exposing private individuals without legitimate cause
• Use the Service to gather intelligence for unauthorized access to systems, networks, or accounts
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other security measures
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its data without written permission
• Submit automated or programmatic queries that exceed reasonable usage patterns without using the provided API
• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation

5. Authorized Use and Responsibility

Subterfuge provides tools that query publicly available information. However, the context and intent behind your use matters. You represent and warrant that:

• You have a legitimate and lawful purpose for each search you conduct
• When searching infrastructure you do not own, you understand that certain enrichment tools (such as port scanning and subdomain enumeration) perform active probing, and you accept responsibility for ensuring you have appropriate authorization
• You will comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws regarding computer security, data protection, and privacy

6. Data Accuracy and Limitations

The Service aggregates data from publicly available sources and free threat intelligence feeds. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided. Enrichment results should be considered informational and are not a substitute for professional security assessments.

Risk scores and threat assessments are generated algorithmically and may produce false positives or false negatives. You should independently verify any findings before taking action based on them.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, functionality, code, and branding, is the property of Cipher Cortex Technologies and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without written permission. Search results and exported reports generated by your use of the Service may be used by you for your own legitimate purposes.

8. API Usage

Access to the Subterfuge API is subject to rate limits determined by your account tier. You agree to respect these limits and to use the API in accordance with any additional documentation or guidelines we provide. Excessive or abusive API usage may result in throttling or account suspension.

9. Shared Results

When you generate a share link, you are responsible for controlling the distribution of that link. Shared results are accessible to anyone with the URL. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from the distribution of share links.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIPHER CORTEX TECHNOLOGIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cipher Cortex Technologies, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cipher Cortex Technologies operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
